Cables are to electronic stores as H.B.A.s are to grocery stores as diamonds are to department stores. Its where they make their best money and it not because any of the products are worth what you're having to pay. So don't!

I used this to connect my mac mini (DVI out) to my HDTV (HDMI in). Works great! I might note here that DVI doesn't output audio, so don't expect to magically have audio going into your TV just because this is an HDMI connection. I suspect lots of TVs (mine does) have an HDMI connection that can also take a separate audio input, so that is how I have hooked up my computer audio to the TV.

I have had this cable for 6 weeks now, and I have had absolutely no problems. Picture is great (used to connect blue ray player to HDTV). Bottom line = why pay 4 or 5 times as much for the same cable at Best Buy ?!

Excellent product, I returned a Big Shop HDMI to DVI cable and two days later this one turns up as promised. I have connected LCD HDCP compliant with (with a female DVI conector) monitor to Cable Company HD box (with a male HDMI connection) = NEW new TV for my Kitchen! The monitor has built in speakers so we also connected a white & red ended audio cable in to the cable box and the other end of this is just a jack that fits into an audio socket on the screen. When Cable Company switches the box on you need to press the channel up button on the Cable Company remote so you can see a screen then you can go through the set-top setup to make sure you have the best resolutions and HDMI settings for your type of screen! Like a new flat screen TV for just the cost of the cable!
