Product Description Rounding out the line is the RCA ANT1500, a flat multi-directional antenna which patented dual-plane design provides consumers with more antenna in less space. Designed to be hung on the wall, rest on a stand or lie flat on a shelf, the 10.4-inch square, 0.78 inch-thin antenna virtually disappears in a room. The ANT1500's patented design consistently outperforms traditional antenna designs when receiving signals across the VHF and UHF bands.
Does exactly what it says it willMarch 6, 2010 M. Truman(Portland, ME) This antenna picked up every station within 30 miles, but not a single one beyond 30 miles. Reception is absolutely clear. I'm also got both the HD and SD feeds for all stations that have them. Not bad for $28!
what can I sayFebruary 8, 2010 L. Harris(Kentucky) It didn't work any better then the one I bought from Radio Shack. I turned it every way but out and still got the same 6 channels. I should be able to get at least 12.......OH WELL
It works and looks good.February 8, 2010 Gudea of Lagash 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this antenna for its aesthetics. I found the shape of it very convenient and, well, beautiful. Since machines so often don't work well and take up more and more of our time as we serve their needs, why not at least have something that looks good? I was able to follow its instructions without frustration, and it did its job scanning and memorizing channels without hurting me. Will it please everyone? I doubt it, but I do live in an area with problem reception and have no complaints in that regard. I honestly can't think of anything negative to say about this particular plastic and silicon divinity.
Works well for nearby signalsJanuary 10, 2010 Chancey Tilston(San Francisco, CA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I live in SF near Sutro Tower and am able to pick up all the locally broadcast stations (the tower is about a mile from my house) in my somewhat obstructed apartment. I cannot, however, get NBC which is broadcast 40 miles to the south in San Jose. Still, I like this antenna because it hangs on my wall behind the TV and you really don't see it. When I want to watch NBC (go Chargers!) I pull out my Terk HDTVa antenna which has better reception but is quite big, especially with the "ears" up. Anyway, if your transmitting tower is not to far and you're going for a muted look I would recommend the RCA 1500.
Looks good, but no better than rabbit earsJanuary 8, 2010 B. Hutsel This antenna definitely looks better sitting on top of my entertainment center than my old rabbit ears. Unfortunately the reception is no better.
